Yağmur Şimşek Piano Concert

Born in 1999, she took her first piano lessons from Fahri Pekiner and Şükriye Doğruol Mudul. In 2007, she was accepted to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSFAU) State Conservatory Piano Department as Evren Büyükburçlu Erol's student. Between 2007 and 2012 she was a chorist and a soloist in TRT İstanbul Radio Polyphonic Children Choir. In 2013, she attended master-classes of Pierre Reach, Mauricio Vallina, Misha Dacic, Aldo Ragone ve Yury Martynov in International Gümüşlük Classic Music Festival. In 2014, she was accepted to Salzburg Mozarteum Summer Academy  as Arnulf von Arnim's student. 

She was awarded 2nd prize in 2012, and an Honorable Mention in 2014, in Pera Piano Competitions. In 2015, she was awarded the 2nd prize in 3rd Pietro Iadeluca Piano Competition in Arsoli near Rome, Italy.  In 2016, she was awarded the 2nd prize in age category 15-18, Pera Piano Competition. The same year, she was invited to the 20th Bellapais Music Festival to participate as one of the young talents in 'Dream of The Island' concert in TRNC. She attended master-classes of Turkish pianist Idil Biret in Ayvalık International Music Academy (AIMA) in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Since 2012, she had the chance to work with Hilary Demske, Johann Schmidt, Rauf Kasimov, Gülsin Onay ve Seher Tanrıyar. She is continuing her education in MSFAU State Conservatory Piano Department in 1st year undergraduate level, as a student of Evren Büyükburçlu Erol.
